SmartSplitter coordinates balances and supports optional card payments powered by Stripe. When you pay by card, Stripe processes and holds the funds — SmartSplitter never stores card numbers or touches your money directly. You can also settle manually via Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal.

When splitting among a group, naive math can produce 6 transfers (everyone pays everyone). Our algorithm finds the minimum number of transactions that settle all balances — usually 2–3 transfers instead of 6. Fewer awkward asks.
